What a great day! We visited Mount Vernon on a chilly but clear day. It finally stopped raining. Every week since I came to Virginia, it has rained. Not just a drizzle, a lot of rain. I overheard that 2018 has the most rain on recorded weather history. I don’t know numbers really, but there were a lot of puddles to go through.
Getting to see where George and Martha lived was great. What was even better were the sheep, camel and cattle on the working farm there. I could visit here for days if they would just let me help herd the sheep.
